Preheat the oven
Preheat to 180°C conventional (160°C fan). Give the oven time to reach temperature before the pie goes in.
Golden pastry. A rich beef filling. Ready to reheat and enjoy.
Bring the pastry back to a crisp golden finish and the filling to a safe serving temperature. Follow your label for storage and any batch-specific reheating directions; a timer is a reminder, not a doneness test.
Preheat to 180°C conventional (160°C fan). Give the oven time to reach temperature before the pie goes in.
Keep the pie chilled until you are ready to reheat. Remove any non-oven-safe packaging and place it on a baking tray. Reheat from chilled; if frozen, follow the supplied defrosting instructions first.
Place on the middle shelf and start with approximately 25 minutes as a guide for a small, fully cooked chilled pie. The total time may be longer depending on its size, thickness and starting temperature. Follow the product label if it provides a different time.
The filling must be steaming hot throughout. Use a clean food probe in the thickest part: aim for 75°C held for 30 seconds (or an equivalent safe time and temperature). If the centre is not hot enough, continue heating in 5-minute intervals. If the pastry browns too quickly, cover it loosely with foil.
Take the pie out carefully and leave it to stand for around 5 minutes before serving. The filling will be extremely hot.
Slice and serve while hot. Gravy, buttery mash or steamed greens work beautifully alongside. Reheat only once.
These instructions are for a fully cooked, chilled pie only. Follow the product’s storage and use-by information. Reheat until steaming hot throughout, ideally checking the centre with a clean probe: 75°C for 30 seconds, or an equivalent safe combination. Never reheat more than once. If your pie arrives frozen or raw, follow its separate pack instructions instead.
Suggested reminders: preheat 10 minutes, initial reheat 25 minutes, check again in 5-minute intervals, and rest for 5 minutes. These are reminders, not guaranteed cooking times. The centre temperature decides when the pie is ready. Browser alarms may be silenced when your phone locks, so use a native timer for essential timing.
A reminder for this step, not a guarantee that food is cooked. You can run more than one timer.
